MASKED PALM CIVETS

This rare member of the Civet family, famous more for the valuable musk it produces that has been, traditionally, the basis of some of the most expensive perfumes in the world, is a resident of the hills and forests of Bangladesh.

Elusive, shy, and rarely seen, a couple of this endangered species recently turned up in the Eastern Hills of Bangladesh.
